F.A.Q.’s (Tent Sale Bootcamp)

For those of you who’ve been to THE BIG TENT SALE in the past, this will serve as a refresher.

If you’ve never been to the sale… here are some helpful tips and answers to common questions:

  • Will things in the boutique be on sale? No. See “What’s Going To Be On Sale” for more details.
  • Where will I park? Once you arrive, you’ll see the cars lining Route One all the way from Wilcox Tavern to Route 216. Find a spot and your good to go!
  • Will there be a preview before the sale? No. We’re usually STILL setting up and bringing merchandise out right up until the curtain drops. If you’re here at 5:00am on Saturday, you’ll see us in “MAXIMUM STRESS” mode running in and out of the tent with armloads of merchandise!!
  • Will you have gifts and home decor on sale? No. This is strictly an event for the FASHIONISTA! All of the gifts and home decor that Galapagos Boutique used to sell are long gone…
  • Do you put out more merchandise on Sunday? Yes (finally a YES!). We will be putting merchandise out ALL day Saturday and keep it coming through Sunday afternoon. So, if you can’t make it Saturday, you’ll still have plenty of fabulous merchandise to shop from on Sunday morning. And, if you come on Saturday, it’s definitely worth coming back on Sunday to see what’s new!!
  • Where can I try things on? Well, that all depends. All of the dressing rooms in the boutique will be available and (weather permitting) we’ll have dressing rooms set up inside the tent. In the past, we’ve found people trying things on EVERYWHERE and ANYWHERE… That’s what makes it fun. Right??
  • Can I pay with credit card? Sure. There will be a cash register in the tent for people paying by cash and check (hence the name). If you’re using plastic (Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express), you’ll pay inside the boutique.
  • Can I exchange or return things bought at THE BIG TENT SALE? No. We love our merchandise. But, the whole concept of having a sale like this is because we need to find it a good home so that we have the room to bring more fabulous merchandise into Galapagos Boutique. ALL SALES ARE FINAL. NO RETURNS & NO EXCHANGES. There… I said it.
  • What time should I arrive? As early as possible… Dave’s Coffee will be open at 6:00am, so you can claim your spot in line and then go have a coffee and muffin. It’s fun and exciting to be among the first to get into the tent and grab armfuls of gorgeous fashions… You know, it’s the thrill of the hunt!!
